Tier 1 exam includes 100 questions for 200 marks, while Tier 2 includes 150 questions for 450 marks. Negative marking is applicable for both stages. The Tier 1 exam is qualifying in nature and the final selection will be done based on marks scored in Tier 2.

Important: SSC has introduced sectional timing in both Tier 1 as well as Tier 2 exams. In tier 1, 15 minutes is allotted for each subject and in tier 2 there is sectional timing in Paper 1.
