| Short Information : | The Indian Air Force (IAF) has released the Group Y / Medical Assistant Airmen Intake 02/2027 Recruitment notification for eligible male candidates under the Medical Assistant trade. Candidates who have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English or possess a Diploma/B.Sc. in Pharmacy can apply online from 06 July 2026 to 26 July 2026. The online examination is scheduled for 22–23 September 2026. Candidates should check the eligibility criteria, age limit, physical standards, application fee, and selection process before applying. |

- Medical Assistant trade (10+2) : An unmarried candidate who must have born between 01 July 2006 and 01 July 2010 (both dates inclusive).
- Medical Assistant trade (Diploma / B.Sc in Pharmacy) :
- An Unmarried candidate who must have born between 01 July 2003 and 01 July 2008 (both dates inclusive).
- A Married candidate who must have born between 01 July 2003 and 01 July 2006 (both dates inclusive).
- Upper Age Limit : 21 Years

| Indian Airforce Group Y/ Medical Assistant Airmen Intake | Medical Assistant Trade : Candidates who have passed 10+2 / Intermediate or an equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English securing at least 50% aggregate marks and 50% marks in English, or completed a two-year vocational course with non-vocational subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English) with the same minimum marks from a recognized board, are eligible for this recruitment. Medical Assistant Trade (Diploma / B.Sc in Pharmacy) : Candidates must have passed 10+2 / Intermediate with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English securing at least 50% aggregate marks and 50% marks in English, and also possess a Diploma or B.Sc in Pharmacy with minimum 50% aggregate marks along with valid registration from the State Pharmacy Council or Pharmacy Council of India (PCI). |
Physical Fitness Test (PFT) : For candidates up to the age of 21 Years 1.6 Km run to be completed within 7 minutes. For candidates above 21 years of age and holding Diploma / B.Sc in Pharmacy – 1.6 Km run to be completed within 7 minutes 30 Seconds. Height : Minimum 152.5 cms Cycling – Should be well proportioned and well developed with the minimum range of expansion of 5 cms. Hearing : Candidate should have normal hearing i.e. able to hear forced whisper from a distance of 6 meters by each ear separately. Weight : Proportionate to height and age as applicable for IAF. Dental : Should have healthy gums, good set of teeth and minimum 14 dental points. Visual Standards : 6/36 each eye, correctable to 6/9 each eye; Maximum limits of Refractive Error Not exceeding + 3.50D including Astigmatism.
